This year in Seattle at the 2010 Annual Meeting, the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists was
represented at a booth to promote the 2011 Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. Several of our Board
Members, CRNA members and students from Northeastern University volunteered at the booth to encourage members to attend the Annual Meeting to be held at the Hynes Convention Center.
Next year, Massachusetts will have the opportunity to fundraise for our MANA student scholarships.
The Washington state association had many great ideas.
The biggest sellers were scrub hats, CRNA socks, raffles tickets, local Seattle candies, Seattle biking jerseys, and Seattle Glass ornaments. The raffles were huge gift baskets full of unique items. Each hospital CRNA group was able to collect and donate these gift baskets for the raffles!
In the upcoming year, we are asking all of our members to share any ideas, help manage sales of items and represent our state association at a booth throughout the entire meeting. Volunteers will take hourly shifts and any time will be greatly appreciated. We are also seeking creative individuals with any ideas for fundraising.
