Lynn Reede, DNP, MBP, CRNA, FNAP

Thank you for the warm welcome to Massachusetts. Healthcare, and anesthesia specifically, is experiencing an evolution that is upending the market to create new opportunities and intensifying chronic scope of practice challenges.

I recently moved from Chicago where I served and worked as the AANA Chief Clinical Officer. In this role, I collaborated with the 6 member Committees responsible for Practice, Health & Wellness, Peer Assistance, Professional Development, Education, and CE. I also had opportunity to work interprofessionally with and continue to work with AANA affiliates, NBCRNA, CO; as well as many external organizations, including the ASA, Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, National Quality Forum, American Society for Enhanced Recovery, and Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research. My association service includes years of committee and Board service with OSANA, including the presidency twice. I continue to contribute to legislative activities. I have also been blessed to serve as AANA Region 6 Director. As new faculty with Northeastern, I am savoring being directly connected to our future and look forward to engaging our students and graduates in professional advocacy and leadership.

First and foremost, I ask that you take a few minutes and vote. If you believe I will represent you well, I would be grateful for your vote of support. So much to learn and contribute through MANA. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the profession and our patients as a MANA member, in one of the many roles available to a servant leader.

Junior Senat, CRNA

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I request your support to represent you and the diversity of our colleagues on the Board of Director’s of MANA.  I am excited for this opportunity because supporting the continued excellence and growth of our profession, and this important organization, is emblematic of my own professional and personal journey.  Today, I have the good fortune to be providing patient care here in Massachusetts, where I first moved in the US after leaving my native Haiti, and where I had my first job in healthcare, as a transporter at BWH.  My nursing career has taken me to many cities throughout the US, and offered me the privilege of studying anesthesia on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico—a place where I learned from patients who spoke little English but had enormous heart, and trained in hospitals that had limited resources but boundless good will. I am a veteran from the US Army Reserve. I have done many humanitarian medical and surgical missions in other countries. I have worked with many different patient populations and learned from many wonderful nurse anesthetists in various stages of their careers.  From all of these wonderful experiences and good people, I learned the importance of sharing kindness, encouragement and best practices.  I make a point of bringing that same message to my patients and peers every day, for I believe that it is sharing kindness, encouragement and best practices that represents the foundation of our great profession and is what makes us unique among healthcare providers.  I hope you will give me the chance to bring that same message to the Board of Director’s as I seek to fill an open seat.  I will work hard to ensure that our profession continues to grow and flourish here in Massachusetts, and that our successes in Massachusetts serve as a model for the rest of the country.  Thank you.

Junior was honored as a MANA CRNA of Distinction in June 2019. Click here to learn more.
